Craving something savory? Try these delicious Fries with Ossa Tallow.
Ingredients
-
Potatoes (2 large)
-
Ossa Tallow (enough to fill a frying pan)
-
Salt (to taste)
-
Black pepper (to taste)
-
Optional: herbs or spices of your choice
Directions
Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
Soak the Potatoes: Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
Preheat the Tallow: In a frying pan, heat Ossa Tallow over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Potatoes: Carefully add the dried fries to the hot tallow in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally for even cooking.
Drain and Season: Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries from the tallow and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Immediately sprinkle with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices while the fries are still hot.
Serve and Enjoy: Serve the crispy homemade fries with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as they are! These nutrient-packed fries cooked in Ossa Tallow are not only delicious but also provide essential fats for you and your family's health.
